the webspinner FAQ

  1. Who is ash@xanthia.com, anyway?

    It's a secret.
  2. Why?

Because the webspinner has learned from the example of such people as the methods file compilers, that once a name is associated with administering a faq or website connected with a.s.h directly, it follows forever - even if no longer connected with a.s.h.  Also, the webspinner doesn't want pro-lifers or interventionists spamming hir personal mail address.
  3. What's the real secret quick, easy, and tidy way to kill myself?

If I had one, it'd be in the methods area.
  4. Can you sign me up for the alt.suicide.holiday newsgroup?

It's a newsgroup.  You have to access it directly yourself; you don't join it.  If you have a newsreader set up on your computer such as FreeAgent or Microsoft Outlook Newsreader, click here to get to it (assuming your ISP carries it).  Otherwise, you have to go through a website such as google.com.
  5. Can you sign me up for the a.s.h mailing lists?

You need to sign up for the ash mailing lists yourself.  To do so, click here to read the descriptions of the lists.  Then click on the link of the list you want to sign up for and follow the yahoogroups instructions.
  6. Can you sign me up for the a.s.h IRC channels?

Just go to the IRC page and access it from there.  Nobody needs to sign you up.
  7. What's with this webspinner thing?

ashers have enough problems with being controlled by others without reading a website run by a webmaster.  Besides, it gets the webspinner away from that whole sexist and identification problem of webmaster/webmistress.
