Crocus

  I wonder
shall I fly?
-brief seconds over the waters
and then plunge
a swirling white angel into the silent depths
  Or shall I lie awake?
-hours under the grieving skies
in crimson snow
until the earth takes me back one snowflake at a time.

A single white crocus in the spring.

No One

I am no one.
You passed me
a faceless face in the crowd.
If you saw me
you wouldn't know me.
I am no one.

I am no one.
I am everyone
you've ever met but couldn't recall
my name.
I'm the space at the end of the hall
a shadow on your wall
I am no one.

When death comes for me
no one will know.

Untitled #1

While I slept
within the boundaries of a dream
you flew to me on whispering wings
almost silent
and if I could fly
the skies within the borders of my mind
I would have flown to you
I would have joined with you
in mid air
and fallen together
such is the dalliance of eagles
or of owls

- Sylvia Owl

"Here take back the stuff that I am, nature, knead it back into the dough of being, make of me a bush, a cloud, whatever you will, even a man, only no longer make me me."
-G. C. Lichtenberg
